“Depression”
Charcoal, Pastels, Ink on Paper
20 × 20
“Filthy, disgusting, and sad. When my depression rears its ugly head, this is how I feel. The first signs of a spiral are when I stop taking care of myself; due to the heaviness I feel with a depression spiral, I let my cleanliness and hygiene deteriorate. Because of this, I feel like a filthy, disgusting creature, which then leads to not only the depression and self-loathing growing, but also the filth growing and getting worse. A vicious cycle that is captured in this piece.” Malachi fedunak
